Perfume -true

Temp-false- i am doubting that the vehicle in question had such a monitoring device.

Exact words-true

Carpet-false- seems too immaterial to me.

Baby slept-true

Rented The Fugative - false, it looks like the movie didn't come out until '93 and maybe additional time to get to blockbuster (if my recollection on how rental movies worked is correct).

(I know you are artistic because of the photography, but why would you remember boring carpet) am I wrong? 😅

You got 4 out of the 6. Good job.

Well dang, I won’t trust you so much next time. Haha

Chris Lengquist's avatar

It was the '90s. "Trust but verify." was still in our lexicon at the time.

Hahaha, still is for me for people I don’t know. 🤣

The receptionist’s perfume—way too much of it

Completely believe this as a smell can take me right back to a memory abd vice versa.

The exact temperature when we left: 23°F with windchill

If any of these are false, this would be the one that would be hard to believe as it’s not like you had a Weather app available to you. Seems a little too specific.

Three-Piece-Suit’s exact words: “Nice. Using the baby.”

This seems plausible as it seems like something someone would say in this situation.

The office carpet was industrial gray with blue flecks

This seems mostly true as it seems like you might be able to remember pieces of this, but I can’t imagine remembering such a specific thing being memorable about a carpet.

What J did during the entire service: slept like a champion

I’m doubtful that this is true. Maybe partially true but I’m doubtful that he was able to sleep the entire time.

Stopping at Blockbuster on the way home to rent The Fugitive

My guess it’s partially true. I could definitely see you remembering that you stopped at a blockbuster, but I’d be surprised if you could remember what the movie was you actually rented.
